We are pleased to announce that we will now feature two nights exclusive ATA accommodation in the quaint and historic railway township of Quorn. “The Mill’, will be used ONLY by our clients and itself is an historic icon in the town. All seasoned travellers will appreciate the added comfort that a two night stay brings, particularly in a region that has been officially recognised as one of Australia's first National Landscapes! Our Adelaide <> Alice Springs 6 day Safari will now feature two great hikes and a more relaxed pace!
Fighting Climate Change
Adventure Tours Australia is concerned about the issue of climate change and the negative impacts on our unique Central Australian environment. As a result, we have introduced climate friendly initiatives into our every day operations and future planning. In addition to this, we have been working with Tourism NT in a pilot project that is supported by WWF, and an independent verifier to assist us on the road to a low carbon economy.
Adventure Tours Australia has recently completed a life cycle assessment and is currently maintaining an emissions monitoring plan to ensure our operations will be carbon neutral for the period 2008/09. For more information on this exciting initiative visit www.outbackoffsets.com
If this offset facility has influenced your travel decision, quote “OFFSET” to offset your carbon footprint for FREE when you book directly with ATA for your Central Australian tour.

Tents are the popular Adventure Tours sturdy design with floors and good ventilation, and will be fitted out twin share with single beds. Sites for new camps are:
- Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge – 2 camps
- Katherine Campground
- Banka Banka Station
- Juno Horse Farm
- Yulara

Adventure Tours Australia supports the 'It's All Relative' (Bringing Australians together) Indigenous Roadtrip
Adventure Tours Australia proudly supported the 'It's All Relative' (Bringing Australians together) Indigenous Roadtrip project by donating the use of a minibus and trailer for the Roadtrip between Alice Springs and Sydney, taking in Mount Isa, Carnarvon National Park, Surfers Paradise and Byron Bay.
Paige Shreeve (Health Educator from the Aboriginal Resource Development Services, Winnellie, Northern Territory) had this to say about the support recently:
"I am writing to express my sincere thanks that Adventure Tours Australia has agreed to support our Indigenous Road trip project 'It's All Relative' with the use of a coaster bus and trailer from Darwin to Sydney (27th Nov to 27th Dec 2007)."

Please Note Our Luggage Limit of 10kg and 15kg Applies
As stated in our conditions of travel a limit of 15kg of luggage applies to all tours and a limit of 10kg on our Kakadu safaris. This is due to the vehicle has limited space and occupational health and safety reasons for our guides, so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 10-15 kgs in a backpack or soft overnight bag with a small day pack for easy access to camera, film, sunblock etc.
Please try and keep to that limit so we can ensure we can carry everyone's luggage in our trailers. If you can try and keep your belongings in one pack or case then this also assists packing. As a general rule if you can't carry it, we won't either. It's your responsibility to pack bags into the trailer. If your trip returns to the place your are starting your trip from, think about storing excess luggage to await your return. If you're not returning to the place you started your trip, think about freight forwarding luggage. All luggage that is more than 20kg must be marked as "HEAVY" so our staff avoid injury by picking it up off the ground without knowing.
