Position Description
Adventure Tours is Australia's leading small group tour operator. We provide award winning nature based holiday experiences in the The Red Centre and Top end of the Northern Territory, South Australia/Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmnaia, and the East Coast. We are recruiting tour guides for the coming holiday season. This is a unique opportunity for suitably qualified people to work at the frontline of Australian Tourism around iconic sites such as Uluru, Kakadu, Cradle Mountain and the Great Ocean road just to name a few. Full training is provided.
Do you have what it takes?
Essential Requirements:
• Ideally aged between 22 and 40 years
• Australian citizen or permanent resident
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• A clean driving record
• Drivers License: minimum "C" class unrestricted held for one year with a desire to upgrade to a Light Rigid (We can assist you with driver training and licence upgrade in SOme staes of Australia).
• Driver's Authority (or a desire to obtain. We will assist you in obtaining your drivers authority in some states. Approx cost. $136.00)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Face-to-face customer service experience
• Enjoy solving problems
• Punctuality and ability to work under pressure
• Potential leadership qualities and good time management skills

• Willingness to relocate at your own expense to one of our Operations bases.
• Willingness to commit to a comprehensive two week training program
• Willingness to commit to a minimum 6 month period of continuous employment
Desirable Requirements:
• Previous tour guiding experience
• Experience in driving heavy vehicles
• Sound knowledge of Australia, it's geography, culture, people, plants and animals
• Travel experience within Australia or overseas
• Experience dealing with people from different countries and cultures
