6 Day Alice Springs to Adelaide Safari

Hi,

I just wanted to drop you a line to say a big thank you to Adventure Tours for a trip that I went on from Alice Springs to Adelaide back in November 2002.

I was ¾ of my way through my 1 year trip backpacking around the world and booked my “outback experience” trip solely for the experience at Uluru.  A once in a lifetime experience.  It certainly was.  Our guide was called Dee and she was fantastic.  Great fun, very knowledgeable and quite clearly very passionate about her job.  We had a great time at Uluru, the Olgas and down to Cooper Pedy and then on to Adelaide.  It was a physically and mentally challenging week for us all but Dee was always there to ensure that we had everything we needed but more importantly, egging us on to take as much from the experience as we could.

In my group there were people for the USA, Switzerland, Austria, England, Scotland (that was me), Wales, Canada and Australia.  It was an opportunity for me to see amazing places and to meet people from all over the world. And this brings me to the main reason for my email.

It was on this trip that I met Kate.  She was from Wales and I was from Scotland.  It seemed funny at the time that we had to travel across the globe to meet each other.  Anyway, we made a connection and then went on to travel for a couple of weeks together after the trip had ended.  Unfortunately, Kate had to return to the UK at that point and I continued on my travels.  We kept in touch and on my return to Scotland we met again and the rest is history.  Now, five years later, we are still together and very much in love.  I fact, just recently, I popped the question and I am glad to say, we will be getting married in the summer of 2009.

Once again, a huge thanks to all at Adventure tours (especially Dee).  I came looking for a once in a lifetime experience.  As it turns out it was a life changing experience and one I will never ever forget and always be grateful for.
