There have been some severe weather conditions throughout the states of Queensland and New South Wales, Australia that has resulted in flooding of some areas.

All passengers are safe and sound and as of latest news all trips are currently back on schedule and itinerary.

We are keeping in close contact with our tour partners who are in constant communication with crew and local emergency services ensuring any diversions from intended itineraries are considered with the upmost priority for passenger and crew safety.

Kings Canyon Rim Walk Opens...

It is great that the Kings Canyon Rim Walk is open for hikers who hit the trail before 8am and before the full heat of the Red Centre day. And it is lucky for Adventure Tours passengers that our campsite is within the National Park making early morning access easy and allowing our tours to operate as planned.

Good news at Kings Canyon…

We are pleased to say we are back into and safely using our main Kings Canyon Camp after the recent fires which caused damage in the region.

Whilst the Kings Canyon Rim walk remains closed due to safety concerns in the current extreme temperatures, our tours continue to visit all of the stand-out highlights on our itineraries.

That latest from Kings Canyon is that the rangers have re-opened the creek walk at Kings Canyon which is great news for Adventure Tours' passengers. At this stage the rim walk is remaining closed due to the extreme temperatures. The good news is this means all tours from today will get to visit and complete a walk at Kings Canyon. Initial reports are that a large part of Watarrka National Park has been burnt but the area in and around the Canyon where travellers visit has thankfully been spared.

EXTREME CLIMATE CONDITIONS IN AUSTRALIA

As you may be aware Australia is experiencing some extreme weather conditions across the Northern Territory, New South Wales and Tasmania. As precautionary measures and to ensure road access safety there have been a number of closures across these regions.

Currently the main areas affected in Tasmania are Port Arthur, Mt Field National Park and Freycinet National Park. In New South Wales affected areas are located in the Western region and South Coast parks. We are also continuing to monitor closures in Watarrka National Park, Northern Territory.

Northern Territory Parks and wildlife commission have advised closures to rim walk at Kings Canyon due to extreme heat and have evacuated Kings Canyon Resort due to fires in the area and as a precautionary measure.

Twin and Jim Jim Falls to close November 7th 2012

The spectacular Twin and Jim Jim Falls, often referred to as the crown of Kakadu National Park, will close next week for the duration of the wet season.

The closure will come in to effect from November 7th, unless the park experiences early rain, and will remain closed until the start of the dry season next May/June.

The falls are located approximately 60kms from the Kakadu highway and are accessible in the dry season via 4WD. The falls are one of the most famous parts of the magnificent World Heritage Listed Kakadu National Park.

Adventure Tours launches new Perth day tour

Adventure Tours Australia announced today the launch of our brand new Get On Board Day Tour.

The tour is designed to provide the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation.

Passengers will start the morning by heading out to the Yanchep National Park to enjoy a picturesque bushwalk and the chance to hang out with some cuddly koalas.

Next, passengers will be able to take an optional cave tour before stopping in Lancelin for some lunch.
