Itinerary: day by day
Day 1 : Kata Tjuta and Uluru
We make our start exploring the intriguing landforms of Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and hiking the Valley of the Winds. Uluru (Ayers Rock) is spectacular, and we get there in time to see the rich desert colours changing as the sun sets, with a glass of sparkling wine to top it off! A hearty dinner and some star-gazing at our permanent campsite is the perfect way to end the evening. (D)
Day 2 : Uluru
It’s an early start this morning, but it’s definitely worth getting up for sunrise at Uluru. Explore the mysterious rock formations and Aboriginal art sites around the base. Deepen your understanding of the land and its stories at the Cultural Centre, where you have the chance to admire and purchase Indigenous arts and crafts, before returning to Ayers Rock Resort at 12 noon.
