Itinerary
Heading out of Sydney, we pass by Sydney Olympic Park and climb the Blue Mountains escarpement to our first stop, where we’ll mingle with wild Eastern Grey Kangaroos in native bushlands. If you get up close to these ‘roos you’ll see just how big (and wild) they are!
A 2 to 3 hour walk at Wentworth Falls takes you to the waterfall, with lookout points along the way. The surrounds are magnificent! You’ll walk through landscapes changing from cliff top heath vegetation, to ferny gullies with hanging swamps and rock ledges - all showcasing the dramatic Blue Mountains.
Lunch is a nutritious selection including fruit, sandwiches and salads, included in your tour. After lunch, we walk down the historic Furber Stairs (all 860 of them!) into Jamison Valley through lush World Heritage rainforest, past the beautiful Katoomba Falls.
The Blue Mountains are famous for the iconic rock formations of the ‘Three Sisters’, which we’ll see of course. From the bottom of the Jamison Valley, we jump aboard the Scenic Railway – the world’s steepest railway (you’ll find out why!) – and take a ride back up to the valley rim. You’ll be able to relax as we cruise back into Sydney after an action packed day!
