1 out of 5: Leisurely paced day trips. Minimal physical exertion required.
2 out of 5: Two and three day trips that include easy walking.
3 out of 5: Short participatory-level camping trips, walks that’ll get your heart rate up and extended periods in the elements.
4 out of 5: Fairly basic camping on most nights, limited amenities and some long (and challenging) walks. A high level of fitness required.
5 out of 5: The hardest of the hardcore. Long trips to remote destinations with limited facilities. Excellent health and fitness is essential.
